November 20, 2016 — The last three games of the start of the season against Faith Family Academy, St. Mark’s and Greenhill have proven to be a great kickoff for Chris Scaife.
After a rough season opener, during the November 8th game against Faith Family Academy, Scaife began to show more aggressiveness in his game. Upon entering the game, he knocked down a long three from the corner and ended the night with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
In Friday’s (November 18th) tough one point loss against St. Mark’s, Chris Scaife added 9 points and 5 rebounds. In the first quarter Scaife added 2 free throws. With limited minutes in the following quarters; Scaife was very aggressive on both ends of the ball. After entering the game in the fourth, with 2 minutes left, Scaife was even more aggressive and began to drive in the paint. In a last minute effort to win, Scaife added a quick 7 points bringing the team within 1 point. With twenty-six seconds left in the game, Scaife drove hard to the basket for a possible 3 point play, but was unable to convert on the free throw. After four attempts to tip the rebound in, BL was unable to tip in for the win.
In Saturday’s (November 19th) loss against Greenhill, Scaife was again very agressive in the paint and on both ends of the ball. Scaife finished with 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 assists and 1 steal.
The team will travel to Fort Worth on Monday to participate in the Southwest Christian School Family Toyota Shootout. The first pool play games are at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at SCS Chisholm Trail Campus (Elementary Campus), 6801 Dan Danciger Road, Fort Worth, TX 76133.
