Scaife, a True Buddy at Buddy League

October 8, 2016 – I just wanted to stop by Chris’ page to give him a shout out, for he was a true BUDDY to Reno and Ella on his 18th birthday!

So proud of MY Chris Scaife for giving a few special hours of his time to Buddy League of Garland on his 18th birthday to give back in a BIG way… SMILES!!

Here are more photos of Chris and the little boy and girl he was a buddy to on yesterday. If they wanted to bat, he stood there and let them bat. If they wanted to run the bases, he ran with them. If they wanted to play in the dirt, he not only let them play, but he played in the dirt with them. If they wanted to talk, he was a listening ear! If they wanted to just run freely, he was willing to do that also. If they wanted to just walk, he walked right by their side. If they needed to be picked up and swung around, you got it, he picked them up and swung them around. If they wanted to play tag… guess what, tag you’re it! In other words, these photos show that Chris did whatever it took to make sure they were happy, had a great time and put smiles on their faces, HE WAS THEIR BUDDY!!! Watching Chris interact with these kids and others simply brings tears to my eyes and joy in my heart. Love him to the moon and back… Buddy League, thanks for the volunteer opportunity…

As stated in Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Chris, thank you for continuing to be YOU! Thank you for allowing God to direct your path and work through you to touch and change young lives. And always give back from your heart… job well done! Your father would be very proud of you!
