Score a big assist for Chris Scaife, a student at Bishop Lynch High School in Dallas, Texas as he gives back to youth in his parent’s (Sharon Jones-Scaife & the late Albert Scaife) hometown of Marvell, Arkansas.

Through Teens Reaching Teens, Inc. (TRT) and Teen Graffiti magazine in partnership with TRT’s Backpacking for Education program, on July 4th, Chris attended his parent’s 1st annual Hometown Reunion, “Coming Back to Where I’m From,” Scaife personally distributed backpacks filled with school supplies to local youth age 12-18.

“I will always be here to support the youth,” stated Chris Scaife. “Starting the school year with a pencil, paper and a backpack, was one thing my parents made sure I had every school year. Now I want to help others by providing the same things,” Scaife added.

This event was the first of its kind that brought thousands of residents of this small town back to their hometown. The event featured free food, fun, laughter, local entertainment.

Chris Scaife will also be on hand to distribute backpacks to Dallas youth on Saturday August 22, 2015 at Teen Graffiti’s annual Keepin’ It Real! Youth Empowerment Summit. This event will be held at Richland College; 12800 Abrams Rd, Dallas, TX 75243. This event is FREE! Youth age 12-18 should pre-register for this event at http://www.keepinitrealtg.com or at http://www.teengraffiti.com
