GASO – Lewisville, TX (Bracket Play)

On Sunday, April 13th, bracket play continued with the first game being played at Killough High School. Our first opponent was Triumph Select. In a game that was fast pasted, Hardwood Elite came out running and gunning. Yes, they were ALL putting points on the board. Chris knocked down 2 threes in the first half, grabbed a few rebounds and gave a few assists. Every player scored, each averaging at least 6-10 points. Even our BIG stepped back behind the three point line and knocked one down!!! LOL!! As a Triumph Select parent stated, “Ya’ll having target practice on us.” Hardwood Elite went on to defeat Triumph Select 75-26.

Tip off for the second game was at 1:40 pm at Harmon High School. Hardwood Elite went on to play its second game defeating San Antonio’s Finest 58-32. Again Chris contributed by going 7 for 7 on the line, crashing the boards for rebounds, giving a few assists, a steal and adding a few buckets. He finished with 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.

Our third game was a bit tougher!! We faced Deron Williams Elite 2016 at Lewisville High School at 4:00 pm. Hardwood Elite still put up a fight though; but came up a little short. In the first half, Chris contributed 8 points including 2 threes; and in the second half put up 6 points and grabbed 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Finishing with 14 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Job well done Chris!

Keep up the hard work and team play Hardwood Elite!! All around good defense, excellent ball movement, hustle and team play!! We only get better from here.
